Because this blog shares real experiences, many people weave in and out of my story. For privacy, I’ve changed names, but each person’s impact on my journey is real. This page is your guide to who’s who in my polyamory network: The friends (with benefits?), hookups, lovers, and mischief-makers who have shaped my adventures in polyamory, kink, and self-discovery.
Primary Characters
- Moon Shadow: That’s me! If you haven’t yet, read more about me here.
- Regulus: My husband and nesting partner; we’ve been through deep waters and come out stronger. Currently navigating our open poly marriage and the evolution of our relationship.
- Astra: My long distance joyfriend and sensual lover; they have taught me a lot about being poly well.
- Helios: My boyfriend and Dom; a guiding force in my exploration of submission and kink. My friend first and foremost. Read His introduction in His own words here!
- Jupiter: My lady lover who plays with me and Helios, together and separately.
Secondary Characters
- Dawn: Friends with benefits; very much knows what he’s doing
- Sunrise: First oral orgasm; responsible for a lot of my initial confidence gains
- Twilight: Long distance friend (with benefits?); far more experienced in the kink community and an excellent sounding board.
Former Characters
- Siren: My former online-only dom; helped kick-start my exploration of submission.
- Sage: My ex-girlfriend; reminded me that the kink community exists and I was now free to engage with it
- Outlaw: First long(er) term repeat hookup; had a foot fetish
- Trickster: Repeat hookup; entered our arrangement claiming to be a top but really wanted me to be a kink dispenser for him
- Muse: Best damn sex I’ve ever had. Update 8+ months later: I’ve had some damn good sex since Muse, but he’s at least in the “best sex” category.
- Wanderer: First partner after opening marriage. Update 10+ months later: I’ve run into Wanderer again in my local scene; tbd if anything happens.
Other people may show up in individual posts if they become relevant, but these are the people crucial to my story.
